Hi, i’m weronika.
I’m an evolutionary geneticist fascinated by how natural and artificial selection shapes complex traits in horses.
I’m currently a postdoctoral researcher at university of Calgary.
After earning my PhD in animal science from Warsaw University of Life Sciences, I moved to Canada to study the evolutionary genomics of feral horses on Sable Island.
My research integrates genomic analyses and deep-learning–based phenotyping to explore how selection and environment shape complex traits and adaptation.
